In an interesting turn of events on American Idol, the field has been narrowed down to the Top 13. I should get right to it since there isn't much to report tonight. Out of the Top 24, I correctly 'predicted' (a.k.a. preferred) 8 out of the final 13.
Top 13: Casey Abrams, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald, Stefano Langone*, Thia Megia, Haley Reinhart, Karen Rodriguez, Pia Toscano, Lauren Alaina, Ashthon Jones*, and Naima Adedapo*. (Bold - one of my original favorites; * - judge's wildcard selection)
Interestingly, only 6 of my favorite choices were voted into the top by the audience. Fortunately, the judges were allotted 3 wild card positions. Without that, two of my favorites (Stefano Langone and Naima Adedapo) would have gone home. Thankfully, Clint Jun Gamboa and Jordan Dorsey didn't make it through with their negative attitudes.
We'll see them battle out next week. This season is going to be fierce!
