Live Reviews--
WHY?! Why did they let Paul participate in the opening song ("So What" by Pink) with other eliminated contestants. His voiced was not meant to sing that song. That was cringe worthy.
Individual performances:
- Scotty McCreery - "Swingin" by LeAnn Rimes - With the mic held to the side, he performed like seasoned professional. Some of the judges didn't appreciate it, but I thoroughly enjoyed his playful side. However, I understand that he could've selected a better song.
- James Durbin - "Uprising" by Muse - Adam Lambert 2.0... In all fairness, that was an awesome performance. He's incredible and always tops himself week after week. As for the highest singing on the show, JLo obviously never heard Siobhan Magnus.
- Haley Reinhart - "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele - Someone is on a roll with choosing songs that match their voice and style. I strongly disliked her voice in the beginning of the season, but now I look forward to her attempts. I enjoy her fighting spirit.
- Jacob Lusk - "Dance with My Father" by Luther Vandross - I felt the emotion, but wasn't moved.
- Casey Abrams - "Harder to Breathe - I love the original version of this song. Casey changed the song and rocked it out. He also kissed Jennifer Lopez. Bold and risky. I hope it pays off.
- Stefano Langone - "Closer" by Ne-Yo - So... um... I didn't have anything say. It was a standard Stefano performance.
- Lauren Alaina - "Born to Fly" by Sara Evans - Our resident country sweetheart. If she could step up just a little bit, this is her competition to lose. She has a beautiful voice and sang tonight's song very well.
