The winner is... Scotty McCreery. I had really hoped Lauren would win. However, I'm pleased either way. Both of the finalists are country artists and definitely have the potential to make it big. (Hopefully you've figured out why my quote of the week is what it is.) Scotty is passionate about what he sings. He's not very different from many other male vocalists in the country music industry. He just holds the microphone at a funny angle.
The finale show was a little too long, but pretty good. There were mash ups and duets with talented celebrities. Did anyone else think Scotty's closing performance was the worst in Idol history? I wanted him to quit hugging everybody and just sing the song.
