From July 31st until August 6th, the new Pottermore website is hosting "The Magical Quill" contest to choose people who will gain early access to the site. With my shiny nerd badge on, I was successfully selected to be an early user. For those of you who don't know, Pottermore is "an exciting new experience from J.K. Rowling based around the Harry Potter books."
It looks like there is still more waiting due to overwhelming demand.
