Trip to Seattle & Vancouver.

I've been back in the extreme heat of Dallas for a few days, but wanted to do a little post on my time in pleasantly cool Seattle and Vancouver.

Most people know that Seattle is my favorite city in the whole world. It is cultural, vibrant, and beautiful. The decent public transportation and entertainment opportunities are nice to have. Also, the proximity to nature is convenient too.

This specific trip to the Pacific Northwest was absolutely rejuvenating -- just what the metaphorical doctor ordered. It was so nice spending time with Joseph and Sean too. They were so kind to let me stay for two weeks. Since I've visited a few times before, I didn't feel the need to rush around to various tourist destinations. This trips was mainly spent enjoying the energy and life of the city. I walked around quite a bit, indulged in some new and different restaurants, and enjoyed several black tea lemonades. The Avatar and Battlestar Galactica exhibits at the EMP museum were excellent too.

As a part of my mini-vacation, we took a short trip up to Vancouver and Bowen Island. It was just long enough to convince me to go back though. The area is just as beautiful as Seattle, yet distinctly Canadian. Or maybe that was just the signs with kilometers and the Mounties... Bowen Island wasn't a place I would've ever considered going, but now it holds a special place in my heart. It is quaint and incredibly relaxed. We went to visit Sean's family there. They were so kind to let me come visit too. Simply peaceful.

Excellent view from Sean's family's house.
One of the many scenic views from a walk around the island.
Joseph was really proud of this picture. I like it too. :)
Yes, there are beaches in Canada. I even got a sunburn.
