Way back on Saturday, October 8th, Lynn and I took a little jaunt over to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Although it was slightly humid and sunny, the weather was still fairly enjoyable. It might have been early October, but it felt like a Spring day. You know what that calls for? If you guessed a picnic in the park, you're right!
We enjoyed strolling through the gardens, taking in Cinderella's Pumpkin Village, and a nice picnic lunch. I paired some pita bread with my special tarragon-Craisin-chicken salad & homemade hummus. After tossing in some fresh fruit, we were good to go. Perhaps I'll post my recipe for the chicken salad soon...
Surprisingly, this was my first time visiting the Arboretum. If I lived closer, it would be a regular staple during the cooler times of year.
