The past two weeks proved to be quite tiring. I worked ten days in a row while my boss was away on a much deserved vacation with her grandsons. That wasn't the icing on the cake though. This past Thursday, east Dallas was bombarded by a very intense hail storm. I had the honor and privilege of driving in it... It was actually kind of scary at first. The best way I can describe is by saying it sounded like a thousand people were very loudly playing the drums on my car with baseball bats. The hail was golf ball sized. There were some as large as baseballs. Luckily, none of my windows (especially me windshield) broke during the whole 45 minute storm. The hail just kept coming down in full force. At one point I pulled over under a tree on the side of the road, but the hail just pulverized the tree and continued to attack my car. While continuing to drive home, there was so much ice on the road that my car slid a few times.
Now, I have lots of little dents all over my precious car. I suppose it adds character. Thankfully, I'm fully covered by insurance and have a meeting with the representative soon.
