New camera?

I settled on my next camera purchase... but I can't get it until at least next year. If all goes as planned, it might be my birthday gift to myself next March.... or graduation gift to myself in May.

After lots of research, I keep coming back to the same camera. The winner is: the Sony Alpha NEX-F3. If I buy just the basic camera kit with one lens, it costs about $600. Yikes! I know, it's not cheap at all. With the change of lenses, it costs a total of $850. Think of it as an investment in memories.

Justification: We all know I obsessively take pictures of everything I do. Sadly, my current camera is nearing its last leg. If your noticed from my Chicago pictures, the quality of pictures has dramatically degraded (very cloudy and noticeable blemish from dust/scratches). My current camera is a regular point & shoot (Sony Cyber-shot W290). Since it is no longer made and is out of warranty, the cleaning and repairs to the lens cost approximately $200... money that could go toward a newer, better, and more durable camera.

Justified?

There are interchangeable lenses.
The screen is adjustable and can tilt down or flip up.

The screen flips up so you can take self portraits wherever you are. I'm famous for these pictures.
