As of today, Lynn and I have been engaged for two whole months. Over the past two months, we've learned and experienced quite a bit together. First and foremost, we've learned how difficult and time consuming wedding planning is. In our typical indecisiveness, we've yet to settle on a venue for our ceremony and reception. One thing we have finalized -- we're getting married in the Dallas area on November 2, 2013!
I've never received so much advice before in my life. So many people have suggestions, ideas, opinions, etc... on when/where/why/how weddings should be. Although I'm thankful for the help, it is just a tad bit stressful. The best advice I've heard: "Keep it simple, stupid!" Even though Lynn and I are set on having a ceremony, lots of married friends and coworkers keep telling us to skip the stress of a wedding and just enjoy a nicer honeymoon. One thing I've learned: leave the wedding planning to the bride. I'm much happier planning our honeymoon anyway.
Speaking of honeymoons, Lynn and I are thinking of going to Italy. It would be a new experience for both of us. Any must see places?
