American Idol: Season 10

It is that time of year again! My American Idol updates and opinions might be a day or two late this year due since I'm living in Korea. Fortunately, I have a Slingbox on my TV in America. It allows me to stream live and recorded television on my computer from anywhere in the world.

So far, this season has proved to be my absolute favorite. I've been watching AI since season 1. The combination of the judges (Jennifer Lopez, Steve Tyler, and Randy Jackson) and high caliber contestants really makes this season very exciting.

We're actually already in Round 4 of Hollywood week. For the first time ever, Hollywood week actually took us to Las Vegas for their Beatles theme. Although this was clearly an advertisement for The Beatles LOVE, it was a welcome change. The judges had to narrow down the field from roughly 60 contestants to the top 24 finalists. Here they are:

Top 12 Women: Naima Adedapo, Lauren Alaina, Kendra Chantelle, Ashthon Jones, Thia Megia, Haley Reinhart, Karen Rodriguez, Pia Toscano, Lauren Turner, Ta-Tynisa Wilson, Rachel Zevita, and Julie Zorrilla

• My early favorites are: Lauren Alaina, Thia Megia, Pia Toscano, Naima Adedapo, and Julie Zorrilla.

Top 12 Men: Casey Abrams, Jovany Barreto, Jordan Dorsey, James Durbin, Clint Jun Gamboa, Tim Halperin, Stefano Langone, Brett Loewenstern, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald, and Robbie Rosen

• My early favorites are: Tim Halperin, Casey Abrams, Jovany Barreto, Scotty McCreery, and Paul McDonald. 
• Although they sing well, I'm not the biggest fans of Jordan Dorsey or Clint Jun Gamboa due to their personalities and the way they treat other people.
